I must be at the MTC

Hallo!
So another week has come and gone here at the MTC! I still love it here, my companion is still awesome, teaching is still scary (but less scary than last week), and I'm learning more and growing closer to my Savior each and every day!

So the reason why I titled this "I must be at the MTC" is because many things happened this week that really only happens at the MTC. 1) My investigator Charles, who I talked a little bit about last week became our new teacher! and then both of our teachers became our next two investigators Jan and Mario. haha I know that its a pretty normal thing here but I still think it's pretty funny how your investigator becomes your teacher and then a new investigator while still being your teacher. One of my teacher jokes that he has five different personalities! 2) before coming here I heard a lot of people talk about how the days go by slow but the weeks go by fast and I didn't really understand what that meant...Well I do now. At the end of each day it seems like I've been busy for like three days straight without any sleep and what happened that morning feels like it happened a week ago. But then I realize that I'm already a bit over 1/3 done with my time here at the MTC and that's crazy!! 3)I, along with a whole bunch of other people got sick with colds this week IN JULY!! It's so weird, I never get colds in the summer!

So this week I learned the importance of simple, yet powerful teaching and have been working really hard with my companion to figure out how we can make that happen in our lessons. Our most recent lesson with Jan went pretty well and I think we'll find what works great for us with time. At meal times, my district tries to sit together as much as possible and we try to speak German as much as we can and I think its drawing us closer as a district and also helping us with our German so that's been good! On Sunday we had a musical devotional and it was all about how powerful music can and is when we teach. It is a wonderful tool to invite the spirit in the room. After that devo, we got to watch a film of and Elder Bednar talk about recognizing the spirit. It was so great!!! I loved it! Basically he taught that we shouldn't worry about if a prompting is from the spirit or from ourselves because all that is good comes from God and a lot of times we don't realize that it was a spiritual prompting until wayyy after we've done it. So just follow the righteous promptings and don't worry about if it's from you or the spirit, if you are being good, it will be a good choice. And just on Tuesday we got another amazing devotional from Elder Clarke and it was so jam packed of tools for us as missionaries to us every day and in our lives afterwards! I would go into detail but I'm running out of time. If you wanna know them, just shoot me an email. They're amazing.

We were able to go to the temple today! I just love the temple and how much happiness it brings me :) So lucky to have it right next door from us! We also have our first TRCs (teaching members who are themselves and speak your mission language) on friday so that should be good! I'm excited to teach people who I know won't show up as another teacher hahah.

Okay love you all! Have a great week. Write me letters and emails, I'd love to hear from you all <3
LIEBE,
Sister Hymas

Challenge for all of you:
Read of listen to the talk by Dieter F. Uchtdorf entitled: You Are My Hands from April 2010 I believe. It is so beautiful and really makes me want to be better and always strive to be His hands. I challenge you to make a goal of how you can better be His hands. Write it down and be sure to do it! Love you all!
