Trust the Spirit!

Hallo!
Diese Woche war ein bisschen verrückt!
My district decided to audition for a musical number! Sister Wirthlin played the piano, Sister Pack played the violin and the rest of us sang "Nearer My God to Thee", but since there are more sisters in our district than elders, I sang the tenor part! haha it was fun. We were chosen to preform our song at the welcome/orientation meeting for the new senior missionaries and it was a super cool experience. There were a lot more senior couples than usual this week so that was cool too! We also sang it for one of our teachers who was very proud of us and wanted a copy of the music so he could play it on his violin (apparently he's very talented with a violin but isn't allowed to show us:( sad day)

One morning during exercise time, we were playing basketball and I rolled my ankle and it started to hurt and bruise and swell a bit but I prayed realllllyy hard that it wouldn't hinder my ability to do all that I need to do. And thankfully, it stopped swelling and really only hurt for two days! #blessed

So last Friday night we taught Mario again and it was a very big learning experience for us because we were feeling the power of the spirit SO strong as we were talking about the power that comes from reading the scriptures and Mario was clearly feeling it too. But we didn't know what to do because we had only been in there for 10 minutes or so and didn't cover anything on our lesson plan yet but we didn't want to disturb the spirit.. But then we did by trying to continue with the lesson and our teacher noticed and got out of character and talked to us about how it's okay to only cover one or two things in a shortish amount of time and not our whole lesson plan if the spirit is really getting to the heart of the investigator. So we learned our lesson that we need to just trust what the Spirit is telling us! Since then, we have really been able to improve our lesson planning and following the spirit wayyy better! There is such a difference when you really listen and respond based off what they said rather than just lecturing. I love it.

Oh Sunday was CRAZY! so it was fast Sunday and boy does the MTC know how to keep a missionary busy. WE basically had like 5 devotionals that day.. But for our actual devotional we had Jenny Oaks Baker and she played a lot of amazing songs with her adorable family! They are sooo talented! and then someone from the MTC presidency told us that they wanted every missionary to stay and watch the Character of Christ by Elder Bednar again. We were like okay.. and of course it was still great. But then... as soon as it was over, they told us to stay put because they had a surprise for us.. Elder and Sister Bednar came!! and they did a Q and A for about an hour! and we got to our rooms nearly an hour later than every other day! It was so cool! I love Elder Bednar, he and everything he says is amazing! He is truly an apostle of God.

Monday was another crazy day! We were assigned to help with the open house again. This time Sister Roach and I were starters for the tour and we were basically supposed to briefly explain the purpose of the MTC and say hi to everyone. It was fun and We even got to see Sister Packer!! and her son (who I believe is a member of the seventy). And I saw someone from Ammons MTC group! Crazyyy!  Monday was also when we performed our musical number. And then we taught Mario again and this lesson was the best one we've had yet!! Everyday I am more and more impressed by how much power the Holy Ghost has in this work. I love it.

The German is still coming :) in fact, sometimes I accidently write German words when I'm trying to write in english just because the German words comes to my mind faster. It's funny.

Wow this was a long update... haha
Love you all!
